Oh, no, the Slytherin support squad is quite partisan in some ways. Though anyone should feel free to offer assistance to anyone they like, Slytherin has the most competitors by far and thus deserves our foremost attention. Indeed, I don't think the founders would have divided us up into four separate houses if they hadn't intended there to be some friendly competition between us!
