Exciting News!

Mr Krumgold, who's been my dance instructor since age 10, has agreed to host a private dance workshop tomorrow at his studio near the West End. I realise it's terribly short notice, but his schedule has been very full, as he's been busy choreographing two of the musicals that will be opening at the end of this summer. For those of you who are unfamiliar with his work, he was the choreographer for the Veela's dance at the Quidditch World Cup.

Now, Gerald doesn't usually offer many private lessons, particularly for free, so this is a wonderful opportunity for those of you who've never had one. Oh, and before anyone says a peep Smith yes, boys are welcome to attend, too. There's only room for about seven or eight people, though, so let me know if you'd like to be considered!

Well, if fifteen people say that they want to attend, I'll have to par the group down somehow. Probably based on skill level and experience, as well as considering who would truly benefit from such an opportunity.

If there's a free spot, count me in, as it does sound like loads of fun. If not, I'd rather it go to someone who'd benefit from the experience, unless said individual is so annoying that she'd make it a bit less enjoyable for everyone else that is.

Are you free to go out to tea sometime soon? I'd like that. I know we've been working on all these clubs of Harry's, but it'd be nice to just catch up just the two of us without an official function to plan.

Well I'd rather it go to you than Midgen, to be honest. I already had to gently talk Millie out of it - or I tried to, at least, but then she got huffy and said "dancing is stupid, anyway."

I have a lot of extra lessons and things, but I'm sure I can squeeze it in sometime! I'd like to hear what you and Draco have been up to. Do you think he'll want to come to the dance workshop?

Is this choreographed balletic dance or partnered social dancing? I'll come along if you need gentlewizards to round out your numbers. If it's show tunes and chorus lining or choreographed spectaculars, then I think I'd rather leave you to it.

You've seemed, well, a bit purposefully chipper when I've seen you this summer. You're doing well, aren't you? Would you like to meet for tea on Wednesday or Thursday? I'd like to see you before we all pack off for CCF.

Social dancing only. Gerald Mr Krumgold knows that ballet and chorus lines aren't of use to most of the general public. Samantha already wrote me a private message asking if he can teach us the Veela dance, though. Wouldn't that be a laugh?

I suppose I'm either being overly chipper or I'm not being my "usual self." Finding the right balance is hard. When I go to lessons or visit with Grandmother it seems that nothing's changed at all, but then, other times, I'm struck with this dreadful feeling that Barney hasn't forgotten anything, that he hasn't moved on at all.

On Sunday morning Miss Jessup found a mutilated rat on the front steps, right on the mat. Father says it must have been Isis (that's Queenie's new cat, for when she joins us at Hogwarts in autumn), but Barney knows how much I detest rats. And I've never seen a rat in all of Belgravia! I'm sure there's charms and things to keep them away.

So yes... I would love to meet for tea.

I haven't seen him, no, but the rat has me worried. And not seeing him doesn't mean he's not there.

About Bole: yes, that's just what I mean. I think it's worse if he's keeping to the shadows, there but not where you can see him. If anything else happens, you absolutely must call in MLE.

I'd very much like to, if there's space. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to write earlier, and I certainly understand if I missed my chance.

Also, if you need boys to round out the numbers, I could bring Jeremy Stretton. He's not a particularly experienced dancer but he knows the basics.

Mr Krumgold sent me a private message a few hours ago, and he says anyone is welcome to watch, there's just not enough room for more than four or so pairs to dance at the same time. But we can probably trade off and take turns? Stretton's welcome, as well. More boys are always good, but you know, it's quite typical for girls to dance with each other in these situations, too.

I do so look forward to seeing if Smith shows up.
